I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
